Before Using

As with all creams, before you begin using AproDerm® Emollient Cream:

  • Check the ingredients list and if you’re allergic or sensitive to any of the ingredients, do not use.
  • Test an area of skin with a small amount of AproDerm® Emollient Cream and leave for 48 hours. If there is no reaction or irritation, apply all over your skin.
  • Consult your doctor or pharmacist if your skin is bleeding, broken or badly cracked.
  • Do not apply to infected areas of skin.
  • Do not use if the tamper evident seal is damaged or missing.

How to Use

  • Wash hands before applying.
  • Break tamper evident seal on the pump and turn the nozzle clockwise to open.
  • Press pump up to 10 times on your first use to release cream on to your hand.
  • Apply AproDerm® Emollient Cream regularly, liberally and frequently using gentle strokes and following the direction of hair growth to keep your skin soft and moisturised.
  • Do not rub as this can cause irritation and itching and may block follicles, causing inflammation (folliculitis).
  • For maximum effectiveness leave a thin layer of cream on the skin to soak in.
  • How often you apply AproDerm® Emollient Cream depends on how dry your skin is.
  • AproDerm® Emollient Cream can be used instead of soap (soap substitute). Apply to your skin whilst showering to clean and moisturise at the same time.
  • Re-apply after showering to skin that is almost dry to lock in moisture.
  • If you have eczema or psoriasis continue using AproDerm® Emollient Cream even after the skin has improved to reduce the risk of flare-ups.
  • Safe to use during pregnancy or breastfeeding as AproDerm® Emollient Cream is unlikely to have any ill effects when used as directed, however if you are unsure feel free to talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
  • For external use only, if accidentally swallowed see a doctor immediately, taking the pack with you.

Please note: Emollients containing paraffin can be easily ignited with a naked flame. If the product comes into contact with dressings and clothes they can be more easily ignited with a naked flame. You should keep away from fire when using these types of emollients.

Active Ingredients: White Soft Paraffin 15%, Liquid Paraffin 6%

Other Ingredients: Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-20, Aqua, Sodium Dihydrogen Phosphate Dihydrate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.

Storage:

Store below 25°C. Do not freeze.

Please note: Emollients containing paraffin can be easily ignited with a naked flame. Paraffin-containing emollients should be stored away from naked flames and fire.
